received direct education in Eastern Psychology from the Venerable Samu Sunim
of the Buddhist Society of Compassionate Wisdom. He has worked in the fields of
education and counseling. He has a history of helping people experiencing
mental retardation and severe and profound behavioral and emotional conditions,
and has helped people face illness, disability, and death with a sense of peace
and dignity.
Bierdz says, “Although I
have some education in my history, I ask that people pay little attention to
it. My formal education is superseded by the hard and real lessons of my
informal education. Consider that life does not come from a textbook, and what
is true for one person may not be true for another. If my education has taught
me anything, it has revealed to me that each of us holds the creation of our
problems, and thus, the answers are always within our grasp. Hence, I do not
provide Counseling, nor do I provide the services of a Clinical Psychologist,
and what I do is not Religious. The services I provide have been around before
the foundations of psychology, counseling, and alike. What I do is cut right to
the heart of the issue. People who I have worked with have reported that they
got more out of a single meeting with me than they have out of “years of
therapy” from others. Typically I see a person a hand-full of times and
then they are done.”
